Xmas drinks at Pat Corrigan's apartment, Darling Point
Please join us for Christmas drinks at the home of Pat Corrigan – businessman, collector and philanthropist. Pat will be showing us his collection which includes works by Brett Whiteley, Lloyd Rees, Ben Quilty, Howard Arkley, Michael Zavros, Robert Klippel and John Olsen.
The living room of his Darling Point apartment is filled with stories attached to works by some of Australia's greatest artists, many of whom became cherished friends.
Pat is an eclectic collector, as shown by the diverse range of sculptures, paintings, photography, drawings and Aboriginal works in his apartment and in the building's common areas.
Every artwork tells a story in Patrick Corrigan's apartment. And given the hundreds of paintings, drawings and sculptures covering almost every wall and surface, it is no surprise Pat has countless tales to tell.
Pat also acquired the Better Read Than Dead bookshop in Newtown, a couple of years ago because he is a big collector of books.
Drinks and light refreshments will be provided.
