Queensland Chapter - First Meeting

Following the inaugural planning meeting of the Australiana Society - Queensland Chapter, held in June 2017 at the home of David Bedford and Jennifer Stuerzl, we are pleased to announce the details for the Queensland Chapter's first meeting.  

The meeting will be held in the ‘white gloves room’ of the State Library of Queensland to view a selection of treasures in the library’s collection.

Dianne Byrne, Curator Original Materials, Queensland Memory, has generously agreed to guide the members attending and to give an illustrated talk.

Date & Time: 10am, Thursday, 31st August 2017

Location: State Library of Queensland, Cultural Precinct, Stanley Street, South Bank, Brisbane

The meeting will finish about 12.00 midday. There are many other cultural institutions near the State Library at South Bank as well as numerous restaurants.
